Traveling nurses

Does anyone out there do travel nursing? I was wondering what some of the up and downsides there are to it? I have a couple of critters that I would want to take with me and wondered if it's easy to travel with pets. I want WARMER climates during the cold winters in Cleveland. I was looking to possible travel to Charleston, Wilmington, or Jacksonville.... anywhere that a beach is involved! I was wondering, too, if it's easy to find a job on a telemetry unit or would I have to look for a med-surg position.
