I am licensed in a state that does not recognize the licensure compact and I am debating on whether I would like to lobby my state to do so. Personally I like the idea especially since I live on the border of three states.

New states join from time to time, the most recent state to implement the nurse licensure compact was Rhode Island in July 2008. Currently, Missouri is in a Pending status. What states do you live near?

Try contacting your State Representative or Senator that is sympathetic to nurse licensure. I am lucky as I have an amazing Rep that's a dear friend of mine. He hears a lot about the trials and tribulations facing nurses in healthcare today.
