At the place I work at we have a "house" dr and he is such an asshole that I feel like pt care sometimes gets neglected b/c he's no MEAN! anytime you call him to do YOUR job he yells and has a fit and the administrater knows what a jerk he is. I have tried to be nice I have tried hanging up the phone on him when he's being rude but nothing gets threw to this man! But when he's face to face he's nice...what to do?
Have you tried talking to him face to face in a Professional manner and in Private letting him know how his behavior is affecting you and ultimately patient care? Two wrongs can NEVER make a right and you hanging up the phone on him is only encouraging his rude behavior as described to continue.
