WELL I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS, I AM ABOUT TO TAKE MY BOARDS, AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO GO AHEAD AND START LOOKING FOR POSSIBLE EMPLOYERS. SHOULD I PUT IN APPLICATIONS OR JUST WAIT TILL I HAVE NOTICE THAT I DID PASS MY BOARDS?

Depends... As long as you don't put MORE energy into looking for a job and your resume is already put together then go for it..I did that and had interviews before boards. All of them told me to come back after I passed... by the time i did the positions were filled, but my friend did the same thing and they like her and called her a self starter and told her to let them know when she passed and she did and she got the job! So definitely try it..just do not let it interfere with your study time or study focus. Good Luck!Smile Amber

I agree with NurseAmber, it never hurts to put feelers out there. In my experience it is not likely that you would get interviews prior to passing the board exam that would lead to offers afterwards. However, if you can get interviews the practice can't hurt and the chance at an offer is enticing.
